MY FAV PLACE

    God's own country-Kerala

My parents were born in Kerala,the southwestern state of india.The main language spoken is malayalam.Named as 'God's Own Country',this place crowns its place as one of the most sought after destinations in india.Its a natural paradise for those living amid all the city crowds and chaos.When i first came here it quite different.This place had everything different and unique-scenery,rivers,people,culture from the northeastern state which i was living in.The best thing i like about this place is its even climate which is nor too hot or cold.

The people of Kerala dress very ordinarily. The women dress up in a traditional Sari. The men mostly wear cotton "lungi" with a towel on top. The men in cities wear pants and shirts. The younger generation follows fashion and wears anything from jeans to salwar kameez. .The people of Kerala are the most simple people and very down to earth.

Its the only state in India with 100% literacy rate and the people are concerned about educating their kids at least till primary level.Their food is also served in different style,in a banana leaf.Their delicacies are mainly made from rice and make mouth watering  grilled fish curries.The place i like most in kerala is alappuzha,kissing the arabian sea.
    Alappuzha is now the hub for backwater  tourism in Kerala.Lord curzon on his visit to this place named it as "the Venice of East".

The alappuzha beach popularly famous as backwater destination where you can see boat-racing(Nehru Trophy  boat racing) where you can see a cluster of boats with people steering across the mighty backwaters.Many tourists gather in numbers to watch this event.Its is also famous for house-boats.For 2 people the cost is around 4000bucks for a day including lunch and evening snacks. The nearest airport is Cochin airport nearly 64 km north.There are various resorts like Marari Fishermen Village Beach Resort and allepey beach resort which are amazing for travellers to stay.i also love to walk on beach road in Kozhikode.

Munnar is a small hill station set amongst the Kannan Devan Hills. One of the most popular hill resorts of India, Munnar is adorned with lush green surroundings, lakes, reservoirs, forests, and tea estates.And there are also numerous temples in kerala having built by rulers many years ago.

The one place not to miss is Periyar national park located in idukki.Here you can see some rare animals and birds amidst the wildlife.It also has periyar lake in the centre of periyar park.You can explore the lake by boat cruising.The price is 75-100bucks.
Other places you can explore is the Kovalam beach,one of the best beaches in south india.


Whenever i come to this beautiful place i forget all my worries and desire to never leave this marvellous creation of god ,and enjoy the nature like never before....

1.Think like a Child



You must have noticed the way children respond to different situations.Their sense of thinking is limited,so they freely do things what they feel like.They feel no sense of insecurities as compared to adults,so they possess more freedom to express themselves,without the fear of being judged by others.So,don't force yourself onto the command of others.God had created us without any bias.



2.Social Relationships:



If there's one thing that seperates happy people from ridiculously happy people is the quality of their social relationships.In this age of cyber technology,where communication is just a click away,people are more glued onto the virtual world & remain devoid of social interaction.If you have seen the animated flick "WALL E" ,it clearly shows the after effects of over dependency on technology,with oversized people communicating with their headsets.Even youngsters (75%)are hooked to social networking sites for chatting instead of moving out of their homes to meet friends.



3.Press the PAUSE button:



Sometimes the cause of depression in most of the people ,is the monotonous
working schedule which causes us to feel bored and irritated.When such a stage comes in your life,where you feel exhausted,press the pause button and have a short break.Take a trip or go on vacation to your favourite place or explore new places.This will help to turn over a new leaf and refresh your life's contents.



4.Do Good to Others:



Whatever be the the act of kindness ,the person who delivers ,get as much pleasure as the getter.When someone is feeling low,try to console him,sort out his/her problem and help them.Remember "What you give ,is what you get".



5.Seize the Moment:



Many times while some grab moments of happiness,others either fail to approach it and convert it.Do today,what you desire to do,rather than waiting for tommorrow.Cherish the moment and enjoy it to the fullest.



6.Rediscover your inner talent:



There are many people who had old passions ,they used to do it mindfully and with years on,buried them.if you liked singing or playing guitar ,why not try it again."Its never too late for anybody to start anew".



7.See the Shiny side of Mirror:



Whenever possible ,try to look upon the brighter side of your life.Sometimes you feel,your life is driving down the lane.But just hang on for sometime,you will find new way out.everyone one of us goes through terrible phase ,and rather than being merciful,try to be more relaxed.

IPAD-IS IT WORTH SO MUCH HYPE?



Physically,It looks like a a Iphone on steroids.It is a tablet computer developed by APPLE.It features a 9.7 inch touch screen(quick responsive),having 16-64 GB memory,iphone OS 3.2,weighs only 680 gms.It is gonig to be released worldwide around march.The large multi screen Touch screen lets you see web pages-on at a time.



It is an crisp,clear and an extraordinary medium to enjoy and share your pictures.With the large and high resolution screen ,you can catch up movies in never before HD experience.


It has got iBooks appn which helps you to browse,read and buy books online(competing with amazon kindle).It runs almost 140k apps from app store.Is split screen view mode,you can take a look at at your email and inbox msgs.


iTunes icon lets you browse and buy music, TV shows, and podcasts — or buy and rent movies.Choose from thousands of Tv shows,podcasts and songs .

It also have a YOUTUBE appn which enables it easily navigate and watch the videos.Then,there is an Ipod appn which lets you browse,listen to any song with a flick.Apple had also a partnership with EA to promote gaming.


It may not have same storage capacity and big screen as a laptop,but is an ultrastylish multi device that you can carry in your bag.Its cost is estimated at around $499-830 and its worth it,i'snt it!!

Fitness to some means staying away from diseases and eating healthy foods and to some it means sweating out in the gym and doing exercises.Or in terms of bodyshape,to remain lean or have muscular body.Fitness is a much broader term.It is our physical,mental,state of health,usually as a result of exercise and nutrition.
WAYS TO BECOME FIT:
1.Doing jogging,or running.I personally prefer doing these outside than using treadmill(its ur choice)
Eg of one interval workout-
For your first lap around the track you’re going to walk and on…
The 2nd lap you’re going to jog around the track and on…
The 3rd lap you’re going to walk again around the track and on…
The 4th lap around the track you are going to run or jog faster than you did on the 1st lap and…
You can keep on repeating this for 20-30 minutes.
2.Yoga:Try deep breathing control exercises or pranayama.for details how to do it check the following video

3.Join a gym.But the one with proper and sophisticated machines as per your requirements and with a trainer(esp for beginners).

4.Nutrition:
What you look is what you eat!!This is an important factor to keep your fitness check.There are simple four rules to healthy eating:


1.Consume carbs in form of whole grains and fibre.
2.Avoid Trans fat and Saturated fats.When looking at a food label, pay very close attention to the percentage of saturated fat and avoid or limit any foods that are high in it.Saturated fats are found in animal products such as butter, cheese, whole milk, ice cream, cream, and fatty meats.Trans fatty acids are found in fried foods, commercial baked goods (yummy but not healthy)processed foods, and margarines.
3.Eat lean protein.
4.Replace your morning and afternoon snacks with fruits and veggie
What to do on workout day?- The important thing is to be prepared for each training day. This means eating good complex carbs the night before and during the day, good sleep night before, careful about the aerobic activity inadvertently done during the day, such as walking up and down stairs too much at work can help deplete glycogen stores. Try not to rush about too much either, even five minutes of fast pace when trying to finish a physically demanding job could reduce training energy and cause a poor workout.
If you have taken the time to eat well and sleep well the day before a workout then your glycogen levels will probably be full up. This gives the cells the opportunity to use carbs for almost every movement, even aerobic exercise which many believe burns fat can cause the cells to burn carbs, simply because they are there. Basically I used to become lazy on training days until the start of the workout. This helped me conserve as much glycogen as possible for the weights. . If the body moves in a slow, steady way to form a rhythm it can help burn more fat rather than carbs.
High Protein breakfast-
1.breakfast A
ingredients-
4 cups water
2 cups oats
2 bananas
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
method- take a pan and boil water and add oats.cook for a minute.Then,add banana slices and milk to pan and keep stirring.cover the pan and leave it for 2-3 min.Sprinkle some dash of cinnamon.Toss up with walnuts/choco chips and splash of cold milk.
Try to stretch a little during the day. Slow, gentle stretches will help warm up muscles well.
2.Apple walnut Oatmeal
ingredients-
2 cups oatmeal
1 cup milk
2 apples peeled
1/2 cup crushed walnuts
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp cinnamon
method-cook oatmeal.add the peeled apples,nuts,cinnamon,& maple syrup.stirr the mixture.then
add milk.
3.Protein shake
350 ml water
4 ice cubes
1 tbs whipped cream
1 tbsp peanut butter
2 scoop protein powder
Mix all in blender and serve.
4.Egg-oat meal
1 cup oats
4 egg whites
bananas mashed
2 tbsp brown sugar
4 tbsp milk
salt to taste

Cook oatmeal,then add egg whites into it.mix the bananas along with it.sprinkle salt and sugar on top and add milk
